	I'm still alive! It's been six years and while there's been bumps in the road, I honestly believe we are slowly and surely making Gaia better and better. I think one of the biggest improvements we're making is trying to make a concerted effort to communicate with you guys more. I've been trying to post a little more frequently and answer my PMs, and though it's far from as frequent as other staff members, I think every little bit helps. I just got a PM from someone who told me they appreciated me posting in the SF. The other day, Lanzer told us all that he'd rather we say something and have it be wrong than to say nothing at all; it's more important that we show that we're still here even if we err than make you guys feel like we've disappeared, because we definitely haven't. ninja Edit: Also, the Speed Racer is movie is great. I'm not sure what the critics are smoking. biggrin

	Communication is key, especially for a community as large as Gaia that stretches to all corners of the globe. Will you be able to answer every question that comes your way or give a simply hello to every User? No, but you do your best and that's what I and hopefully everyone else does. As long as you do your best, just as you've been doing, then there's no reason to feel you haven't made an impact in one way or the other. Keep up the great work <3

	Communication, between staff and users, and between staff and staff, is vital. And fun. XD We all simply must get together sometimes. Perhaps in a room during Prom, or a house in towns, or in a cinemas room. XD Prom sounds fun, we can get a bunch of staff and a bunch of users together and dance the night away!

	I love the increase in communication. Its another reason why I spend so much time on Gaia, it is getting harder to keep up with all the staff's posts since so many are posting stuff now. <3

	All of the Staff's efforts to improve communications are being noticed... at least I'm noticing! I'm often happily suprised when I'm browsing a thread and I see a Staffperson has replied. 3nodding It's always nice to see what the Staff thinks, whether it's an answer to somebody's question or whether it's just a reply to someone's silly discussion thread.

	The last two times I remember seeing you was in the halloween event and in towns when it first came out; then again gaia is a big place. One of my friends was just asking where you went the other day; I think a lot of people were used to hearing from you by your announcements, and now that you guys speak through admin people don't feel like it's you guys talking to us, just the faceless admin.

	It means a lot to many users, including myself that there's an effort to communicate more. Seeing devs and admins post just makes it feel like more of a community, not simply a site where a lot of people go.

	Wow, it seems like it was just yesterday I joined Gaia. I can attest to the steady and vast improvements Gaia has made, and I believe that staff interaction is the biggest gap we've had to traverse in my time on Gaia. Cheers!

	i have to agree with Lanzer, its really nice to see you guys posting around the site, even if you're just saying hello. most gaians know to take "due dates" with a grain of salt, so thats not really an issue, its just nice to see the staff around the site more.

	I think this helps break the stereotype that users, under no circumstances, should PM admin. This site was essentially founded for communication between others for similar interests. I think it shows a lot about the admin when they choose to talk to users about things rather than lurk and work. It shows that they're people as well and want to listen to people rather than just treat the site as a job. 3nodding Also, it's been five years, Ling. xp Unless you're taking into account the planning and behind-the-scenes before Gaia even existed.

	People who are asking why I'm counting as 6 years - I am counting 6 because Gaia's been around from Feb. 2003- May 2008. I know that's technically not 365 days per year, but close enough for me. 	Thank you! I'd been looking forward to Speed Racer forever and it was AWESOME, then I looked at the reviews (I look at them after I see a movie, so I don't get influenced one way or another) and was wondering what movie they saw, since it sure wasn't the Speed Racer I saw!
