A Vampire's Soul
Chapter 1
I walked over slowly, and noticed it was a body!
My heart pounded.
"Is he dead?" A voice asked. I looked. Cara was standing behind me.
"I don't know, stay here." I told her and walked down.
The man was lying face down in the sand, but I could tell he was pale.
I flipped his body over and my heart ripped open.
It was Maximillion! The Max that was supposed to be with Aya!
"What the hell is this... Max!" I snapped.
"You know him?!" Cara ran over.
"Yes, he's alive as well!" I yelled. "He's breathing lightly."
Cara knelt down.
"You grab his head, I'll support his legs." Cara said.
I nodded and we carried Max back to the cabin.
"We have to wake him up." I said.
"And find out why he isn't protecting Aya!" I added in my mind.

"Vex, he's awake!" Cara called.
I walked over to the bed Max was on. He was still as pale as ever, his eyes were barely open with a deep purple colorization. His lips were going blue, but they're better now.
"Max?" I whispered. He wearily looked up at me.
"V......Vex?" He managed to say.
"What happened? Can you talk?"
Max nodded slowly.
"Wes.....ley and Aya..... Captured..... I was....swept...by ri...ver."
He studdered as he spoke.
"Wesley and Aya are captured?! By who?!"
"The..... wolves....." Max said and fell asleep.
"Poor thing, he's so tired. Swept by a river, I'm surprised he lived.
The rivers have all been wild lately." Cara said, but I barely heard her.
I was thinking of what those pathetic wolves were doing to Aya.
"We're going after Aya when Max revives. I want you to stay here Cara.
I don't want you to get hurt." I said.
"Vex, I'm not staying here knowing you might never come back. I'm coming with you. I can't stand the thought of loosing you again." Cara snapped.
I sighed.
"I can't stop you, can I?"
"No, I'm more powerful then you." She smirked at me.
I sighed.
"That's true...."
Cara was already a demon, but she was so powerful, she kept her human form.
"Fine, you can come." I smirked.

(In the dungeon)
"Wesley, what are they gonna do to us?" Aya cried.
"I don't know what their gonna do to you, but I already know what their gonna do to me.." he sighed.
"Will they kill you?"
"Not right off, they'll torture me first."
Wesley and Aya both looked at each other in silence.
They were in separate cages but right beside each other.
Aya began to cry again.
"I'm so scared Wesley! Max is dead again!!"
"No Aya, Max isn't dead! Trust me."
"You don't know that Wesley! I saw him get swept away by the river! I saw him go under the water and not come up again! He's gone!!" She cried.
Wesley frowned and reached through the bars to grab Aya's shoulders.
"Aya, listen to me. Max would never die as long as you are in his heart.
He would find a way to survive, to save you. Max isn't dead and he will come back.
Now stop crying."
Aya's tail flicked, but she nodded.
"Alright."
Then the door slammed open. It was Riley!
"Time to have some fun!" He sneered and walked into Wesley's cage.
"Riley, leave him alone!!" Aya screamed.
"So, still talking to vampires Wesley? Ha!" Riley began beating on Wesley.
"Stop!" Aya begged, making Riley beat him up more. Aya watched helplessly as Wesley's blood spilled out onto the dungeon floor.

(A week later)
"Let's go Vex! Aya need our help!" Max screamed me to hurry up.
"I'm comeing, I'm waiting for Cara!" I snapped back.
When Cara caught up, we began our journey to save Aya.
