Well people might be wondering what this journal entry is about...
the answer is: *drumroll*
SHUGO CHARA!
Well this is my first time reporting on a series like this and I think I might continue for each month with a series from my collection!
This month I'm kinda obsessed with the whole egg thing so
without futher ado, let's begin!
Alright, So "SHUGO CHARA!" is a series created by PEACH-PIT!
You might know them as the creators of Rozen Maiden, DearS, and ZOMBIE-LOAN.
YAY!
*ahem* So unlike these titles, SHUGO CHARA! Is a a Maho Shojo series (magical girl).
This story revolves around elementary school girl,
3nodding Hinamori Amu! 3nodding
Amu is known as being, "cool and spicy" at school, home, and well anywhere!
Yet her "cool" nature isn't so "hot".
Her real self is actually that of a shy and "normal" girl.
Yet like most girls, she cares about how she looks to society so
she wears this false exterior.
But one night, Amu wishes with all her heart to become a courageous and honest
girl; "her would-be self".
And her wish is granted...sort of... sweatdrop
the next morning she discovers that she has "laid" 3 eggs!
((No she's not a chicken you weirdos...))
This eggs were born from her heart thus Heart Eggs or Kokoro Tamago.
From these eggs, her three Gaurdian Characters (Shugo Charas):
Ran: hyper and cheerful blaugh
Miki: Cool and Artistic wink
Su: Gentle and well Housewife like whee
((Hyuu! Kawaii!))
Anyhow, one thing leads to the next these characters
have the power to "character change" thier...well person, into the person that
they want to be aka naritai jibun.
However, since Amu is a girl and this is a mahou shojo series...
heart YOU GOTTA HAVE THE LOVE INTRESTS! heart
Well now, Amu has a major crush on the school's student council "King"
Tadase Hotori, who also has a Shugo Chara (Tadase).
((Tadase's would be self is an overconfident *jerk* person that wants to take over the world))
Well along the way she meets the rest of the Gaurdians of her schoool (the student council's members are known as the Gaudians), and ends up joining the gaurdians as the "Joker". (Yes they manipulated her to join the Gaurdians...^^; )
Each Gaudian has thier own shugo chara, and each unique in thier own way.
The Gaurdians' primary goal is to find the "Embryo" a special heart's egg that will grant any wish.
However a "ongoing problem" are X eggs.
These eggs are heart eggs that are born from a child's heart that have been corrupted.
Amu's job as the Joker is to seal these eggs so they can return to their owner's heart.
Yet how can Amu do this?
Since this is a "magical" series...we have to have transformations
right?
Of Course!
When she joins the Gaudians, she is granted the Humpty Lock,
a precious treasure passed down from generation to generation from the first King.
This lock was specifically for one who has 3 character eggs (thus AMU!).
Through this lock, Amu is able to transform with her characters into a
well "super want-to be self" (yes I made up that name...) sweatdrop
Ran= Amulet Heart
Miki= Amulet Spade
Su= Amulet Clover
So with these character transformations (Chara nari) her power is able to increase 120%
and "purify the X-Eggs.
However, there has to be "bad guys" right?
Well in this series the opponents would be those from the company "Easter".
Thier motive is to get the Embryo as well, but...
heart heart THERE IS ANOTHER LOVE INTREST! heart heart
((Hooray for Love triangles!))
One of the members of Easter is a young high schooler
Tsukiyomi Ikuto.
4laugh blaugh ((Hyuu~! Hyuu~!)) blaugh 4laugh
This young man is a mysterious one alright as well as cat-tastic!
Ikuto is the one that destroys the X-eggs that Easter extracts from
children. ((This results in with a child with a crushed dream.))
Ikuto-kun's wish to the Embryo is unknown but he isn't all that bad of a guy.
For it is definately a given that he doesn't want to work for Easter yet he is "bound" to it.
Anyways back to the love life!
Ikuto helps Amu on several occasions which furthers Amu's curiosity/intrest
in him.
Yet she has a rival if she's going after him...
Hoshina Utau-san.
((There's a connection between her and Ikuto but that's another story...)
Anyway moving on.
Amu has several adventures with her Shugo Charas wether its through daily life or in stituations that involve life or death, her gaurdian characters are always there for her! As are her friends!

This is an awesome series for all to watch of all ages!
I think that this series is one of the best Maho Shojou series
since Cardcaptor Sakura.
The Charas are soooooo cute that I just want to squeeze them~
Anyways this series would have to get a 9/10
and this particular series is both an anime and a manga!
The anime started up in 2007 and is a 51 episodes!
And has a Second Season titled,
Shugo Chara!! Doki
YAY!
