Okkiii, I wrote a poem about a guy a girl is crushing hard over.
Anyway, those who really know me, know that I have been avoiding writing poetry at all costs, but alas, my calling got stronger and I couldnt resist. So, anyway, here goes the first poem I've written in like...a year...oh, and its a free verse, meaning it dun rhyme ^^ Ohs, and tell meh whatcha think...be critical!!!!!


Thump-thump Thump-thump
That is the sound her heart makes
It throws its self against her chest
Beat after beat, thump after thump
It doesn't stop
She feels it
Ramming its self against her chest
Just like the maddening beat of a drum
Thump-thump Thump-thump

The blood coursing through her veins stop
All is silent, even her aching heart
The butterflies in her stomach twist together
Breath hitches in her throat
Standing before her is the cause
The tall, slender, maddening cause

She freezes
This cant be happening
Thump-thump Thump-thump
Begins the maddening beat of her heart
Worse than before it slams against her chest
The blood courses violently through her veins
Nervousness
It rushes through her
Faster than a race horse desperate to win

He smiles
The sweet, crooked, breath taking smile
She swoons
Thump-thump Thump-thump
Begins her cursed, teenage, aching heart again
He smirks
She swallows
Desperately trying to rid the lump in her throat
Panic
It rushes through her body
Killing all the calm

His eyes
They bore through her, searching her soul
Thumpity-thump-thump Thumpity-thump-thump
Is the only sound she's aware of
His smirk melts into a frown
Her secret is revealed
Panic
It rushes through her again

Mouth open, eyes wide, she tries to deny the truth
She tries to deny what is clearly written on her face
Confusing emotions rush through her
She cant handle this, its too much
She bolts
Running from her fears again
Too cowardly to face them
Deep down she knows its not over
But that doesn't matter
She's free from his searching gaze
... for now
