Spill out, overflow, filled to the brim with cold.
Reacting to the laws of physics, splashing to the ground.
The sheets of water drain from the flat planet,
drizzling down lightly into the nothingness below.
Wet and alone, she stands on the edge of the universe,
clasping her falling star close, tightly to her chest.
The desolate winds blow past, sapping the lonely atmosphere
of all the life and energy that radiated from her.
She was the survivor of the world, and ready to die,
holding onto that fallen star that emanated a faded hope.
Stepping forward, she looks over the edge into that infinite abyss
as one thought runs through her frantic mind.
A whisper of a goodbye parted from her lips as she thrust that star,
taking one last step as she fell from the remnants of her home.
The girl stared up, watching the star disintegrate into embers,
blowing out into dust as the water washed over her face.
Fall, fall forever, until there was no more of anything, not even nothing.
I have no idea why I wrote that.
