I finally got back from my trip today. I did have a lot of fun! I got to see all of my cousins. Well, not exactly. I didn't get to see my Mom's 2 brothers. And I didn't get to see my cousin Benji. I really wanted to see him too, cause everyone was saying that he had gotten thick and he used to be real skinny. And he has another son now, but I didn't get to see him either.
On Friday, my Grandma made some red beans and rice and corn bread. Man that hit the spot! It was awsome, especially after I added some hot sauce to it. Cause the night before, we didn't even have dinner and I didn't have much for breakfast. I wolfed that food down!
Friday and Saturday night, my I stayed at my friends house while our parents went to the class reunion event. On Saturday, we had made some egg fried rice and it was pretty good for our first time making some from a cookbook.
Sunday,we went to church. It was good. But it was THREE HOURS LONG!!!! I thought 2 hours was enough but they just kept on going!
But my Uncle is the preacher so I'm glad we were able to go. Then we went to a picnic. I had some good chicken and pasta salad. And then to top it off. I got me a huge piece of some chocolate cake!-It sucked! It was NASTY! My friend tried it and my Dad did too and each of them had that same look of disgust on their face when they bit into it.
They best part though was Sunday night when we went over to my Uncle's(the one who is the preacher) house for dinner. It was fun cause there was 25 people there! All of whom were my family. The food was good. And it was funny watching my younger cousins argue They come up with some good come-backs and all that stuff. It had me crackin' up.
A lot of my family is supposed to be coming for Christmas this year too. I hope they can all come.
