The First Vampire Cat
chapter 2
"I'm Maximillion."
My heart froze, and I didn't know what to say or think. The vampire myth who was just dead no longer then a minute ago was talking to me. I felt like I was gonna pass out, in fact, I did.

When I awoke from my mild coma, I was on a bed with Vex lying beside me.
"Morning!" He smirked. I jolted up, my heart pounding. Then I noticed he was completely dressed and I calmed down a bit.
"How'd I get here?" I asked.
"That vampire brought you. Maximillion. He's talking to my mother right now."
I gasped. Maximillion was talking to Haine! I had to see this!
As if Vex read my mind, he took my hand and led me down the hall. He opened a door slightly then when I got close, he shoved me in and ran.
"Coward!!" I snapped back at him, then I felt myself blush from embaressment when I remembered where I was.
"Welcome Aya." Haine smiled. Maximillion looked over at me. King Jacob smirked.
"Um....hi." I stood up.
"Did Vex do this again?" she smiled.
"Yes ma'am." I blushed again.
"I'm glad he pushed you in here though. I want to thank you for releasing Maximillion from his spell. It's been twenty years. Thank you."
Haine walked over and hugged me.
"Um....You're welcome you're majesty."
"Call me Haine. Alright Aya? You may be still a teenager, but I have my full respect in you."
I was amazed. The queen respected me! I smiled.
"Of course Haine!"
she smiled.
"So, Max! What was it like to be asleep for twenty years!?" she asked Maximillion.
He smiled. He was kinda cute when he smiles.
"Come on Aya! Stop thinking of him that way! You're 16!" I thought.
Then I saw Vex walk in and I relaxed. Now I can get my mind off of Maximillion's smile.
"When did you get here Aya?" Vex asked giving a small smirk.
I scowled at him.
"I'm really beginning to loathe you!" I snapped.
He smiled.
"Alright! We don't want any blood to be shed. Especially here. I just paid for the new carpet!" Jacob said. I giggled.
"Don't worry Dad, there's no way Aya can make me bleed!" Vex said looking into my eyes as if mocking me.
I scowled. I wanted to run up and strangle that kid! Then I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Don't try Aya. Vampires are naturally stronger then most humans or demons. And Vex is a pure bred vamp. I know you think you can beat him, but the truth is, you can't. Just give up."
I looked up. It was Maximillion. His yellow eyes looked amuzed.
"Alright Maximillion. I'll listen to you." I said.
"Call me Max. We'll be together for the rest of our lives, so you may as well call me Max.." He said walking back over to Haine.
"Wait! What do you mean?!"
Haine looked at Jacob, then Max.
"Well Aya, since you released Max from his spell, you're rightfully his master."
Haine said.
"What?!" Both Vex and I said at the same time.
"That's right. It was the hidden part in Victor's spell. If I was to be brought back to life, I'd have to protect the one who revived me. So, It's my duty to protect you Aya." Max said.
Once again, I passed out.
