I sighed in relief as I leaned back on my chair.

Summer...best time of the year...the freedom from all the stress...the requirements...and the annoying examinations... I thought

As I continued to type away on my computer, my mother suddenly popped into the room and said

"Issa, your aunt will pick you up at 8am"

I almost choked on the water I was drinking.

"What for?" I asked

"You'll be going to Greenhills to shop with your grandparents, uncle and cousin." She replied

I twitched

"Why so early???" I asked

My dad suddenly came in the room and replied for mom

"That way you'll have more time to look around and all"

I merely sighed. And I shut the pc off and went to bed.

"Issa, wake up.." I heard my mom say

I grunted and rolled over my bed, holding the sheets closer to my body. I heard her sigh.

"Wake up Issa. You know that your aunt hates waiting for people" she said

And so do I...but ya'll still make me wait... I thought

I merely sighed. I opened my eyes, yanked the sheets of my body and went downstairs, not bothering to comb my now short hair. And after doing the usual routine, I finished everything by 7am.

1 hour to go...surely, I will not be able to buy anything of my interest... I thought and waited for the time to pass by...
