Burbled – Possibly a mixture of "bleat", "murmur", and "warble"

An alternate version is, another wolf is sneaking around looking for a sheep for dinner, and pounces on the wolf in sheep's clothing, killing it and eating it for supper instead of a real sheep.

The intended lesson was, "Frauds and liars are always discovered, eventually, and pay for their actions accordingly."

[edit] Usage

In English, "a wolf in sheep's clothing" has become a common metaphor for any hidden danger, or for any enemy putting on a false display of friendship. As a result, the phrase "a sheep in wolf's clothing" has also become used, ironically, for something or someone harmless who blusters or tries to appear menacing.

Winston Churchill once described a political opponent (either Clement Atlee or Ramsay MacDonald depending upon sources) as a sheep in sheep's clothing. [1]

The image of a wolf in sheep's clothing is echoed in Matthew 7:15, which states, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."

Growing up as half of something is always hard, especially when you don't have a father, or a family member that can guide you into understanding your other half. Understanding the human world is the easy part, as Dante grew up in the human world with his mother before she died. However, there is the constant need for blood, and the need to kill, which is part of his demon self.
So there's the need to be a demon, the instincts that drive him—and then there's his human morality, and the stories of his father that he's heard. So, he's not quite sure how to be. Whether he should care about humans or save them, and as crass as Dante can be, he's still confused.

From the noxious miasma that swirled along the tower fortress, he emerged in his demonic form, an intimidating, roughly humanoid being that towered over seven feet tall. Along it's exoskeleton like hide, bluish veins of electricity crackled, illuminating the raised scars and ancient welts that decorated the mottled, strange gray flesh stretching over his lean muscles.

There was a splintering, cracking sound, and four asymmetrical appendages, like the jointed limbs of an insects, unfolded from its back and upper body, the longest easily ten feet, curling from his right shoulder like a scorpion's tail.

He reeled forward another step, and behind him, lurching shadows could be seen through the fog. He rumbled out some heavy, wordless sound and took a lengthy stride toward the assembled horde of Dark Angels, the new arms whipping around his spine crested head ,making him weave from side to side.

The horde visibly stirred, steeled themselves, drew arms. Within the gloom, through the darkness behind Cain, a mass of salivating, razor toothed maws swiftly burst forward, and pandemonium soon ensued...

Pizza - In both the Devil May Cry 3 manga and video game, he is introduced shoving a pizza down his throat. See! Video game character do eat! And Pizza is the only thing we've seem him eat...

Strip Clubs - When he was 18 years old (and maybe hung out their at a younger age) he is often seen in Love Planet -- A strip club.

Rock / Metal - The video games have very heavy (and usually gothic) music. In Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, he is excited about the guitar like weapon and throws a little rock show singing and dancing. Later uses it to bash enemies around the head with.

His mother - Dante gives the impression that he was very close to his mother and he always wore that pendant. He is avenging her murder at the hands of demons.

Attention - He loves to be the center of attention. He hates it when someone steals his spotlight and argues with them, often forgetting about the threat that stands before him.

Ladies - He flirts with anything in a skirt even if they try and shoot him. He's probably into orgies, as he hasn't really got ONE lady friend. He's paired up with Lady, Lucia and Trish.

    Dislikes

    No-nos.

Father - At first, he hated his father. After the events of Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, he learned to respect and admire the devil.

Mundus - Eh, the main hero hates the main villain. Obvious? Yes.

Bigger mouths than his own - He hates it when someone or something talks more than him. He will go as far as threatening them to shut their face.

Demons - ... do I really have to say anything here?

Name calling of his mother - If anyone calls his mother anything negative, he gets psycho.

    Alighieri

He's careless, selfish and uncaring of anyone or anything else. Though when he is selfless, he's selfless to the point that he's almost suicidal. He faces Vergil on the notion that Vergil had raised Temen-ni-Guru for him, and that Vergil has quite a "party" planned for him. He seems both pissed and disappointed when he's proven wrong and his amulet is stolen.

He is eternally calmer and more sophisticated. It seems that he was taken when the twins' mother died, and the one who seems to have taken the brunt of the emotional trauma. While he swears less and seems less brash and egotistical than Dante, he is colder and crueler, and he carries out his self-served duty until the end. He wishes to gain power, and tells Dante that he is foolish for not pursuing the gift that their father left for them. He carries the twin amulet to Dante's; while Dante's chain is silver, the chain around his amulet is gold.
While Dante tries to mesh himself into the human world, Vergil does so in the demon world—and, of course, neither of them really make out to well. Being half-human, half-demon they don't seem to fit into any category: they are neither human nor demon. Vergil wishes to find power, though it is debatable whether he wishes to find power for his own means, or to protect Dante. Seeing his mother killed, he does not want to watch any part of his family destroyed. Not liking his father, though feeling the torch of responsibility passed—Vergil relates to Sparda [demons] more than he does to Eva [humans]. He carries out this mentality to the end, even as Dante reaches for him as he falls to Hell.

"Listen ... You're a loon. I get that. Hell, one time I got so wasted I proposed to a mop. So I'm not one to judge. That said, nutty or not, I'll feng shui this room with your diseased brains if you don't give me the girl."

Dante has epic powers and heroic stamina due to his father's blood. He also boasts a rather large ego and insults his opponents... big or small.
