I count the seconds
Of eternal night
Praying for a dawn that shan't ever come
My night.
No moon, no stars, no life
Save me.
I sit here,
Drowning in the darkness,
No longer struggling.
Letting the tide flow in.
Long since haveI strained against my chains,
The scars of struggles past remain.
Black water fills my lungs.
The salty surface high above.
My chains hold me here
And I fought myfate and lost.
I held them taunt,
Trying to break away.
Now, as I drown,
They lie upon the floor,
Slacked and coiled.
Water bound in close to heart,
The beating stops and all is lost.
I count the seconds
To my doom,
Praying for it soon.
My nightly prison has no moon
It has no stars nor life.
I am a corpse,
Only me.
Of eternal night
Praying for a dawn that shan't ever come
My night.
No moon, no stars, no life
Save me.
I sit here,
Drowning in the darkness,
No longer struggling.
Letting the tide flow in.
Long since haveI strained against my chains,
The scars of struggles past remain.
Black water fills my lungs.
The salty surface high above.
My chains hold me here
And I fought myfate and lost.
I held them taunt,
Trying to break away.
Now, as I drown,
They lie upon the floor,
Slacked and coiled.
Water bound in close to heart,

Praying for it soon.
My nightly prison has no moon
