Crying sorrowful tears of joy
What’s this my heart’s beheld?
Singing with the notes I play
And hear and feel all at once
I am happier than I’ve ever been
And yet my music’s sad
For diamond a tear ran down my cheek
As my newest piece premier
What is this that I’ve undergone?
For I am a confrontation
Between mind and heart
I’m definitely happy
Yet my empathy cries
It cries, evermore deeply
As the major key turns vulnerable
And minor takes my hand
Curling my notes into a poignant shining diamond droplet
That is sadness, never to be penetrated
Never comforted and never surpassed on any intensity of feeling
For it shines
It shines
How else must I describe this glimmer?
I need it
This sadness is the deep velvety darkness
My stars lean on to glow beautifully
These stars are my music
My music is my feelings
My feelings are this night
And my stars need
This velvety
Decrescendoing night
To shine beautifully again
