	General Life Update Rock Band I've been playing a lot of Rock Band lately with my sisters. Our band consists of a drummer who looks like Samuel L. Jackson, a guitarist who looks like Kevin Sorbo as Hercules, and a vocalist who looks like a generic emo chick. We've been making slow but steady progression in unlocking new songs and I finally started playing on hard difficulty for guitar (<--proud of self)! It's such an addicting game! A number of other people here at Gaia HQ have it too, including brunosmad, who peer pressured suggested that I pick it up. I think Lanzer is having it ordered for the office too so we can rock out at the end of the day. Knitting I finished knitting a fuzzy sweater for myself from this pattern. Since it's knit from alpaca, it's incredibly warm so I don't need to wear a heavy coat over it even though it's been so cold here lately. Now I'm working on a chunky cardigan for my littlest sister. Art I've been trying to draw again some lately. Here's a recent fanart of Velvet from ATLUS' Odin Sphere game that I finished recently:

	The pic and sweater are both amazing, Ling! I envy your mad skills. >.< Is the sweater warm enough to keep me warm in minus five degree weather in the morning? o.O Yay for rocking out at the end of the work day. I need that game. xDD

	Wow, looking at that sweater, I wish I could knit and make something like that. Warm is important too is dreading the snow that's coming tonight! I love the drawing. Her expression, I love it. In my writings, I've tried to describe that expression! She's really pretty. 3nodding

	Haha. I can totally picture Bruno pressuring suggesting people to get things. x D And that sweater looks really good. From what I can see it looks really professional. =)

	Yay odin sphere! although I have to admit I'm just gotten to Oswald and my playing urges have died. D: He's just not the same as the rest. Oooo for some odd reason the hair is my favorite part. I love the amazing detail in the hat.. er.. scarf? As well as the glowing part of her mace, although the upper part of the chain that's facing us, seems more like a basket handle then a chain. D: Or maybe I'm just staring at it too much because I'm horrible at them and wanted to study how you did it. Overall I really do love it though, everything is so smooth~

	i really wanna play "Rock Band" but its not released here til next month, which is a bummer because ive heard really good things about it! i really love your shading and colour technique, its wonderful!

	Thanks y'all! Pritchard - yeah, I hesitated on whining about the cold given that I live in California, heheh. Zakument - yeah, the chain pretty much sucks. Druki - maybe! Cid High-Wind - I start out with a pencil sketch (actually, I have it online http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t115/gaialing/wip1_velvet_odinsphere.jpg) and then I adjust the levels in Photoshop to eliminate as many scratches, dust, and whatnot as possible. As I apply color on a layer beneath the lineart, I constantly go back to the lineart layer and erase and redraw lines where I deem necessary. Inti Castro - they do! I only wish the fibers of their hair didn't shed so much. crying Kiyoske Dante - From what I've seen of the game so far, I'd recommend it based on the graphics and music, but I've only watched L0cke play about 4 hours of the game, so I don't know much more about it.

	You are an incredible artist Ling! I saw Blue Man Group on the 27th of January. First performance I've seen in a long time, and they were funnier than heck and really loud too. Probably nothing like what you guys do sweatdrop but it was still fun all the same.

And how is rock band, I've heard about it, but I'm having mixed feelings, I don't know if I can spend the money to buy Rock band when there's already so many games coming out I want, one of which come out in a week. 	I wish I had the patience to knit something like that. The most I've ever managed is a scarf that took me forever because the yarn I was using was more like thread. It had a really interesting texture to it though, which is why I chose it.

	Alpaca wool is the BEST! I work at an alpaca farm and I have alpaca gloves... they are incredibly warm. My boss had a store, and she had this sweater out... I swore that it was brand new and someone was buying it. Then she picked it up and told me that it was over twenty years old. Looked perfect! Your sweater is going to last forever. n.n; Very pretty art too!

	I know you most likely don't need gold, but if you're ever open for an art commission, I'd love to commission you. You really do have an amazeing art style. If you're having issues with rock band, just think of it like a rhythem game rather then trying to get the notes. If you play music, just keep subdividing. If not, try and always remeber that the notes don't need to be held most of the time, so think of them like pauses; if you're not hung up on the last note, you can get the next one faster. Dunno if that helps, but I got better after realizeing that.
