The Mummy III
Apparently so.
So I found the article for this on Wikipedia,
while looking up the background of the movie Constantine
(which I just watched today. Good, but mildly confusing).
Apparently they're making a third Mummy.
I thought that was pretty cool, until I clicked the article to read it.
Apparently they recasted Rachel Weisz, the actress who plays Evelyn.
They're replacing her with another actress, Maria Bello.
Needless to say, this made me a little angry, as a Mummy fan.
So... a character who is supposed to be a brunette British woman,
is now suddenly going to be a blonde American woman?
How do they plan to explain this, I wonder? =o
Okay, I guess with some accent practice and hair dye,
they can fix that problem, assuming they do that... but still!
Weisz has played Evelyn in both of the previous Mummy films.
How could they just replace her? D:
Now I don't know if Rachel Weisz declined the part this time around,
or what happened here, but it still sucks.
The movie sounds pretty good, otherwise.
That one little detail just made me mad.
