About a week ago, yes a week ago, cause I rember the date on my recipt- 07/03/05- I bought some manga, one of them being Fruits Basket volume 10 at Suncoast at the Columbia Mall-that's the one with the Carosel(sp?), you know the merry-go-round.
Anyway. As soon as I got home, I started reading it, which isn't normal for me, but Fruits Basket is so good, I can't help but read it.
So as I get through half of the manga I notice that half the pages have a little nick close to the inside corner on them. Of course I'm like, "WHAT?! IT'S DAMAGED!!!" For I'm a collector you see, and I can't help but want my manga in good condition. Of course I finish reading it! Who in the hell returns a manga before they finish reading it?!
So today I returned it and exchanged it for a new one. I check it for flaws. I saw none. Then, as soon as I get home and place volume ten on a stack of manga, I look at it and realize that there's a crack on the top of the binding!! I think, "HOW DID I MISS THAT!? Ugh! Can I never win?"
And that's my story.
I like the lighting in Suncoast, I think it's cool. But now, I'm starting to think, its ruining my ability to catch flaws or damages in the manga I buy.
