"The Knight Before Christmas
Body: MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY YULE!

This was posted in one of the groups and I just had to share it!

"The Knight Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the camp
The knights were all fighting over who was the champ
The horses were fed and the squires in bed
but the knights were all filled with a feeling of dread
there was something amiss on this cold Christmas eve
but the truth of it all would be hard to believe

so all of the knights, sat drinking their mead
just what would happen they were waiting to see

When out in the Tilt there arose such a clatter
They sprang from their seats to see what was the matter
They grabbed up their swords and their lances and shields
Ran through the gates and onto the field

The moon softly glowed on the snowy white sand
and in the middle stood a crying fat man
They stood there in awe as their eyes opened wide
Then Santa himself came and stood by their sides

"I am sorry to bring you bad news on this night
But the best of my elves all got in a fight
Is there any more chivalry to be found in your heart
Could you help out old Santa and each do your part"


"Of course said the knights", Sir Maudron had an idea
"Lets joust to see who rides with Santa this year"
"Wait!" said Santa "that's not quiet what I meant"
But none of them heard as away they all went


there was Sir Jeffery on Dasher
and Sir William on Prancer
Sir Mathew rode Vixen
and Sir Maudron rode Blitzen

And then in an instant the squires awoke
The field was readied as the Harold spoke
"It seems that a joust is in order this day
To see who will help fly dear Santa's sleigh"

Sir Jeffrey and Sir Matthew took the first pass
But poor Sir Matthew fell flat on his *** back
Then Sir William and Sir Maudron took up lance
And that's when Blitzen decided to dance

Before they could all catch their breath and regroup
Sir Maudron knocked out Sir Matthews front tooth
The other two knights drew their swords for a fight
As Santa began to draw back in fright

Then who should appear to rescue the day
a squire named Jackson who broke up the fray
The knights all looked up and said "look an elf"
till the squire insisted it's only myself!

Then the knights all stood up and went to their corners
and stuck out their lips like a group full of mourners
and Santa continued what he'd set out to say
"If you want off my naughty list you'll all help save the day"

They all spoke few words as they got ready to work
and realized they'd treated each other like jerks

Then setting aside all their weapons and woes
They said "do we really all need to be foes"

Then they climbed in the sleigh, to the deer gave a whistle

And away they all went like a shot from a pistol

But I heard them proclaim as they flew out of sight
Merry Christmas to all from all of us Knights
