today was supposed to be relaxing! istead I was awakened at 10 (!) by my mom calling with work, so I drove over to the office, realized that I had forgotten everything, went back home, came back to the office, tried to install the brand new scanner that is the main part of my work, realized that we were missing a SCSI cable and card, called Best Buy, they didn't have it. Went to Comp USA, they didn't have it, and were very patronizing, as if I was just some stupid little secretary who didn't know a scanner from a hole in the ground. Then I went to Office Max, which refered me to a small store that I couldn't find for forever, and they didn't have it. So I was sent to a last place and there told that the part was ridiculously obscure and hard to match, and that, of course, they didn't have it. so then I pretty much went home, took my grandma shopping (it's like bashing my head against a refrigerator), and went with my sister to visit a sick friend, for which we had to wear surgical masks and gowns. we stayed there too long, so my mom went to bed and I cooked dinner. I do not feel relaxed. and tommorow I wake up, make a call to the health department, drive to my volunteer job, then run out of there to Japanese tutoring. God damnit. and I can't afford any of the hair ornaments that I watch on ebay.
