Perch on a throne
Of darkened light
It's easy there to see
The chains that bond
The slaves that on
Every side do sleep.
A lazy hand, so soft, so white,
Slowly caresses your cheek.
Trace down skin
So deathly cold
All that live do fear it
Brush back hair
So long with care
It whispers black to hear it.
So silent is the deathly place
Angels could not cheer it.
Call out now
Into the dark
And ask a man if he
Would by your side
Like to bide
His time for eternity.
Teeth so gentle upon the skin
Will break it thirstily.
Blood does slide
Upon your lips
A respite from the hunger
Sweet as death
Like all the rest
So many torn asunder.
Chills sweep over predator, prey
Your spell forever under.
Touch the face
And give a kiss
For all the world to see
Then slowly slip
Into blood's drip
Bespelling so subtly.
Wait in darkness and in cold
For another enemy.
