Nikore hates her computer. She hates it good. Just a few months ago, it gave her the lovely gift of spyware, which was discovered when mysterious credit charges turned up in the Phillipines. Nikore went a little off the deep end spyproofing her computer, in the hopes that this crap wouldn't happen again. Spybot, Ad-aware, Spyware Guard, Spyware Blaster and Highjack This, not to mention downloading Firefox and buying another antivirus program.... Nikore's comp is like Fort Knox.
Or so she thought.
Today, Nikore's comp greeted her with a lovely message about a certain critical dll file being corrupted and/or missing. (Does anyone know what hal.dll is?) Nikore's computer has decided to help by refusing to load Windows. So, until Nikore can find the cash to fix this piece of [long list of expletives] computer, she's not going to be around.
