Yeah! We survived Thanksgiving get-together. And since no one went to jail, no cops showed up, no emergnecy room visits, and only one antagonizing phone call (actually she called several times)... I guess it can be considered a success!
The turkey was so juicy and tender that it was falling off the bone. All the side dishes and desserts came out fin. And soon after eating, the wine began to flow, which made the in-laws alot more tolerable! We had a nice fire outside, but the wind kept changing directions and chasing us around the fire. Eventually we went nextdoor and watched a movie (License to Wed) by the fireplace. And came home to warm up a plate of leftovers.
