Grief tugs at my heart strings
And hot tears stream from my eyes
As I watched them place you in the ground
And once again my mind returns to happy memories
But those memories soon fade and I'm left with depressing images
of sickness and death
The image of your body cold and still in your coffin burned into my
mind
Everytime I close my eyes I see you
I don't want to forget but I don't want to remember either
My mind returns to its original fear of death
And I am consumed by depression
Nothing left of me but an empty shell of a young girl who has lost
everything
