Look into the lines, see right through you
This situation seems to be completely unbearable
And I feel myself starting to crumble
Close my eyes, grit my teeth
Deeper and colder, seeping into sleep
Dim lit rooms and dark colored glasses
A tainted vision for all the masses
Walk along a weary worn path
One by one, you do the math
maybe it's not right
to wake up in the night
to a voice screaming
and my heart beating
that voice is my own
how hoarse it has grown
for everyday
is exactly the same
wake to a scenario so reminiscent
I know I've been here before
Let myself gather gradually
I've seen myself here before
Yet what meets the eye is something so brand new
A vision held so high and forgotten, crossing into truth
Dressed in white linens
But I don't seem to fit in
maybe it's not right
to wake up to a new life
where all my tears were never shed
next to a person in my bed
no name comes to mind
But I know who he is
He's my perfection
All I wanted was this
Soon again the stumbling starts
What's thought to be strong falls apart
Everything that could've gone wrong
Happened but then all along
Then all along
Faded lights, I wake to an old face
and the pictures I had to take
of my biggest mistake
stare at me with smiling eyes
I fight to hold in my cries
