Yeah so, my friend is having some troubles right now, and I thought I'd write her something... so I did.

Life~
As I sit here and ponder, something catches my eye. A black bird, stirred from it's spot, takes flight. As I watch, I begin to ask myself questions... "Will I last these days? What if I don't? What should I do?" I ask myself these questions, but I can't find the answers. I continue to watch the bird begin to fly away, a darkness fills my body... All of a sudden my hopes, my dreams... everything I ever needed feels so distant, then fades away and disappears into the dark clouds.
Death~
As I sit here on my death bed, I look around. Nothing is around me to watch, nothing is there for me to ask the questions that still haunt my mind... "Will I last these days? What if I don't? What should I do?" As i realize the cold, damp, dark place has no answers, I lay down. I start to cry as I take my last breath before I leave this place forever. With my last thoughts, I think back to happy times. The times I was talking to her... just talking. My memories fade as the darkness finishes it's job. A blackness washes over my eyes and I finally leave this place. My weary, dead eyes close, but a final tear still hangs on my cheek. Slowly, it slides down my face and falls to the floor.
After Death~
As my soul lifts from it's prison, it begins to illuminate a small area around it. It floats away from my lifeless body, taking all my memories with it. It floats for miles and miles, hiding from anyone, afraid of revealing it's secrets. Upon finally reaching it's destination, it seeks one out. This one holds many dear memories inside the glowing orb, and is the only one who can set it free from this place. As it approaches the window it pauses. The one who can set it free is behind the glass. That is not why my soul paused. The girl is in the middle of a deep kiss with the one she loves... My soul suddenly turns dark and dissolves into a soft mist. Heartbroken, and lost, my soul fades away into the night. It is doomed to forever hold the memories and to roam this place forever. As it departs from the scene, a whisper echoes in the dark mist... "Will I last these days? What if I don't? What should I do?"

Now, I know what you're thinking. "How does reading something about dying help your friend?! O_O;;;" Well to put it quite simply, it's an emotional release. In other words she heard what she wanted to, so it helped her mood lighten a little bit as the stress of her depression lightened a little bit. x3
