I longed for a puppy when I was a kid
A dog to call my very own
One to protect
One to hold
One to comfort when I am scared
Then that one decembers day
Brought home to my arms
A beautiful Keeshond named Buttons
My very own pet dog
I give her attention and love her
As if she was a human being
She is truly one of a kind
I dreamed of her coming to me
Finally I had her and now its been 8 years
I love her even more then the first day
She listens to me talk, and is always happy
She knows when to comfort and to protect
Its amazing how attach to animal you can get
I know that horrible day will come
When she must pass and soul live on
I know I will be truly upset
The one who understand me, all gone
But I will live on and remember her
As if she was a friend
And enjoy the time I have with her now
Live every minute well spent
Even though just a animal
she will always be my best friend
