I wrote this poem in honor of all races how have ever suffered pregidest. But it is espiecally to people like me who have a disability and have suffered the sorn of others. THis is of those people. Oh and in this I use policaly incorrect terms just to drive a point home of how people were called in historical reference.
We came to this country long ago On cursed ships cros the stormy sea To them we were simply cargo In cold iron braclets, we longed to be free Forced to work the land as slaves Our suffering came in waves We were hated for our color
Our island once was blessed, but not anymore They came to change our way of life With famin and black fever claiming scores Here we sought refuge but got only strife We were spat on, kicked and punch in the eye And everywhere we saw 'No Irish need Apply' We were hated for our culture
We came to this country for jobs So they gave us what no one else would do Layin' down track for rich fat slobs We lost many when the railroad was through Still we were not welcome in this land They did not trust a yellow china man We were hated for our race
For milleniums we've been dispised by society Considered to be inferior the weak link And never are we seen for our intierty But what society makes them think They say we're ignorent, and misunderstood If they'd listen to us we could do some good We were hated for our disabilities
All of us are different but also the same We were all hated no metter what our name
