I came into this world,
and wanted all there was...
Ignoring signs and symbols,
Delving in pleasure just because...
Then a ragged man came one day
and I ignored his foolish grin...
His ramblings never spoke to me,
Until I looked within!
My soul was filled with horrid things,
of greed and lust and sin...
I laughed at the sorrow of others,
while to my own needs I did tend.
And now I shall suffer,
Until the eternity does end...
My brother and sisters, I think,
Our lesson has just begin!
Was our pride so great...
Our wisdom so wise...
That we let ourselves have this fall?
I guess we will never understand,
Until finally there is all...
When our gathering is complete once more,
And our sorrow is true.
Until that time we are
Tormented Souls
And no longer fluffy cats,
Through and through.
