they said my spirit was wild; uncontrolable; a wild soul untamed; they said id never love; they said id never learn; and i chose to dance across the stages of the world as well as my life; living the seasons of my life; i ran and ran; ran so far away; ive fallen and been hurt; fallen in my garden; picked a rose of thorns; watched it cause blood to flow on my hand; watched time pass and it leave a scar; let it drain the light of being able to love from my eyes; and i ran; ran away; running through my garden; never touching the rose blossums again; never looked back; but secretly wanting to hold the precious rose in my hand once again; the spirit growing wilder by the moon and sun rising and falling; being a rebel and hating the rose; but was truely afraid of the one rose; i ran; danced across the stages of my life into eternity; never stopping to look in my garden at the rose; who would be the one to love her they wondered; she lived her life like a bird in flight; a bell in the night; who would tame my restless soul and churning spirit?
