As I watch you fade away
I wonder what could have caused you so much pain.
I reflect on past memories and see all the things we'll
never do again.
My heart weeps on the inside but I do not shead a tear.
I cried for you a long time ago.
We both knew this day was coming but still I do not want to
let you go.
So now i hold your hand until it loses its grip and grows cold.
I watch them place your coffin in the ground.
And every year I visit your grave and place one black rose
on that granite stone that tells only part of your story.
And I remember all the time we spent together and say good-bye until next year.
