Disclaimer Person This critique is late due to the programers "optimizing" journals, so I doubt this will affect anyone that reads it seeing by now most people have already formed an opinion about one or both of the items. In any event, for those of you that haven't, this one is for you.
This month's Donation Items are the Guitars of Demona and Angellus.

Battle of the Bands
Oh, for the love of Gambino, is there no end to the Angel and Nightmare CRAP! I mean, the Guitar of Demona, I can understand. I mean, I laugh whenever I hear someone say "Rock and Roll is the Devil's music!" That item is fitting, but the Guitar of Angellus?
This was pretty much my snap judgement on this month's items. However, after playing around with them, I formed a different opinion.
Give it up for... DEMONA'S MINIONS!
First off, I have to say I love the name Demona. It sounds so sexy and yet so evil at the same time. heart
This guitar has style, and it knows it. It screams Rock and Roll probably just as loud as Chester from Linkin Park. It's black and angular design would please any rocker that fancies using pyro in their live shows. And the funny thing is, this axe looks like an axe!
But that isn't the best part.
This is the first demonic item to come into Gaia with an evil side that unsuspecting users may fall victem to. Just like in Full Metal Alchemist, people that mess with things they shouldn't will end up paying the ultimate price. Namely, their arm!
That's right, this sucker can posses your arm and use it for its evil purposes. The strings detatch themselves, and the neck becomes an arm longer than your own! Futhermore, the head (the part where all your tuners are for the strings) becomes a demonic hand perfect for snatching souls and unsuspecting Country music fans' hearts out of their chest. The actual body of the guitar takes over your shoulder and forms a rather nice piece of gear that matches the Spider Chestplate nicely.
Incidently, as of typing this review, there is a layering glitch which causes the lower legs of the Spider Chestplate to disappear when the guitar is in this mode. Hopefully it will stay, because it adds a lot to the design.
Other fashion suggestions include the Black Roque Helm and anything on the lighter side of black. Anything around the Dark Tuxedo Top's black is too black to match with this demonic arm. The Goth Set looks to be a good safety set to invest in if you aren't creative enough.
Once everything is said and done, you can store the guitar on your back. The body has a little Nitemare Wing design to it that looks rather like you have only one bat back wing on. That is, if the neck of the guitar coming out from behind your head wasn't so obvious. I just have one question about this mode, however. Where's the strap?
Let's hear it for... Angellus and the Angels!
If the Guitar of Demona is for Rock and Roll, then the Guitar of Angellus is for all things acoustic. It's shape is simlar to a banjo to me, but I have seen guitars in this shape before that weren't so "country." It's soft down-white color and gold accent would probably be an impressive sight in real life. However, I'm not to keen on the gaint feather right where the strings are suppose to cross onto the neck.
Unlike its counter for the month, this six-string singer comes with love. When around someone pure of heart, the guitar comes to live and morphs itself around the owner in a hug. A rather odd looking hug if you ask me. It doesn't look like a hug but more like a knew neck accessory. An Angelic Boa, if you will. The feather that I found odd becomes half of an Angelic Headband, which is kind of cool. The body of the guitar forms a collar that looks like you are wearing a white and gold floaty. The neck and head turn into a very flowy tail. This tail looks best with avatars that have short blonde-ish hair. Why? Because it looks like ponytail! It may not be much, seeing how there are (finally) ponytails availible in the Salon, but if you're a blonde looking for something more stylish, the tail this mode offers will do just that.
Outside of the short blonde hair, your best bet of getting this item to work is with things that are white or the same shade of yellow as the gold accents. However, if you are feeling creative, this guitar could work for that hippie look so many people have been requesting but few have been able to pull off with what is available. You also could try the country look, but that would involve investing in the Western Style hat and one of the several pairs of blue jeans.
When you're done playing your slow and sexy ballad for the ladies (or fellas), you can also store this guitar on your back. The feather on the body becomes half of an Angelic back wing set, but posers will be spot easily because of the neck sticking out from behind your head. And once again, the guitar strap seems to be missing, which begs me to ask the question as to how it stays on your back.
And tonight's Battle of the Bands winner is....
While you could wear both at the same time in a varity of combinations, including the often requested half-angel half-demon back wings mock up, your best bet is to go with the Guitar of Demona. It has more options and just looks cooler. I mean, yes, guitars are more than just for rock and roll, but when it comes to style, you just get more bang per bar with the Guitar of Demona. The Guitar of Angellus is nice, but much like the sounds of Kenni G, it's not for everyone.
Apologize for the bad attempt at making this critique themed to pop music and music culture. I obviously don't know what I'm talking about
