why do we sit here and think of the things
we want to do but instead
we sit here instead of making progression
we just contribute to procrastination

why do we try to attempt the things
we know we can't do oh
we are just too bored to think
of anything else to do but waste our time

and so we say we've got nothing better to do

you and i are going down to the city below the ground
oh i hear its a nice place better than ours
where the sewer rats come in for their taste
of the depression and feed on what's left
and their is the meaning of what life can do
when you don't have anything better to do

what do you want do to when our time
is over for the day will you come back tomorrow
and say we'll just do nothing all the time all day
we don't have hobbies, no

we have talents but we put them to waste
watching reruns of Friends 'til midnight
And we get inspired, yes we do
But we just don't have enough motivation, no

and so you say you will try the next day

the subways have delayed our afternoon
