Alcuin: sweet, adorable but clueless - those three words sum up Alcuin in a nutshell. Only a year older than Phedre, he and Phedre pretty much grew up together and they see each other as brother and sister even though they're not actually related. Alcuin is smarter than people give him credit for and tends to hang out a lot with both Joscelin and Imri (who he plays chess with), although he hasn't a clue that the younger mouse boy has a crush on him. Unlike Joscelin and Ysandre, Alcuin neither likes nor dislikes Melisandre.
Ysandre: is Phedre's best friend and gets on fairly well with Joscelin. She's only a year older than Phedre and they've been best friends since they were younger. As interested as Phedre is in fashion - the pair often go shopping together. Like Joscelin, Ysandre does not like Melisandre.
Believe it or not, these two tahnees are dating. Both of them are 15, although Joscelin is the elder of the pair. A classic case mayhaps of opposites attracting, both tahnees tend to bicker a lot.
Joscelin (left): is quiet, doesn't talk very much although he has a quirky sense of humour.
Phedre (right): is spunky, outgoing and likes to keep up with fashion. She is also very loyal to her friends and sees Alcuin as her brother even they're not actually related.
Melisandre (left): is also outgoing and can be a little sly and flirty sometimes. At 17 she is
one of the older Tahnee children. She is Imriel's (Imri) cousin - which probably explains the resemblance between them. Melisandre can be very selfish and it is acknowledge by the
other Tahnees that she not someone you want to get angry as she can be spiteful and holds grudges. The only exception to this being Imriel.
Melisandre and Phedre have a love-hate friendship, but she and Phedre's
boyfriend Joscelin do not get on.
Imriel (right): At 13, Imri is two years younger than Phedre who he looks at and treats as another sister. Considered by most everyone to be a lot nicer than his cousin, he almost hero-worships Joscelin for some reason, although the older mouse Tahnee doesn't seem to mind. He also adores Alcuin and has a slight crush on the older mouse boy, although the other mouse tahnee hasn't a clue to Imri's feelings about him.
