I sat at the table
Feeling myself lose control
Just thinking of the days events
not wishing for them to know
I think to myself
Pathetic, weak unworthy
Tears stream my face while words slip out
No longer able to control my actions
I think to myself

I lower my head in an attempt to hide
But the shuddering of my shoulders
my shortened breaths
give it all away
I think to myself
Pathetic, weak unworthy
I laid my head on my knees
and let the tears fall
I shadowed my face with my hair
hoping others wouldn't notice
I think to myself
Pathetic, weak unworthy
They came to me immediatly
Softly saying my name
I ignored them and just kept on going
I couldn't stop when I didn't even want to start

Minutes pass and still the tears flow
More have noticed and have come
in a fruitless attempt to console me

Finally able to hold some dignity
I change the subject somewhat harshly
Knowing my voice was steady and in control
but that my eyes were the ones who told my mistake

all words to describe how I felt that moment
to have let my guard down
and let them see what events have done to me
To let them know the affect they have on me
