Melissa fell asleep on the floor with the album in her arms. Her cat lay next to her. She wasn't going to school today. She'd probaly stay home for a couple weeks, just as she did when her mother died. She woke up to the sound of her cell phone. She answers it tiredly "Hello?" she said. "Melissa, where are you? School starts in 10 minutes" a girls voice answered "I'm staying home. I'll tell you later, Becky" Melissa says and hangs up. Star looks up at Melissa with innocent eyes and Melissa smiles sadly. Matt loves Star, and Star enjoyed his presants. But now he was gone. Gone forever. There was a knock on her door "Come in" Melissa says, her dad opens the door and steps in. Melisssa didn't say anything, she knew it was him, he was the only other person that lived in their house. He stood next to her "Do you want to know how he died?" he asked her. Melissa noded slowly. "As you know your brother and I went to the lake" Her father started. Melissa didn't say anything. "It was dark and I was far away from him. He was swimming and I trushed his to go far. Then he dissappeared. I called for him but I got no answer, all around me in the bot was empty. I searched everywhere and found no one. He coudln't have swam to shore, we were to far away." He said. "So-he drowned?" Melissa said weakly. "Yes, that or he an away really fasty" Her dad said. Melissa noded, Matt was a good swimmer, but not that good. "I'll leave you alone to think" her dad said and left her room. Melissa stared down at the ground. She now had a mystery, did Matt die, or did he run away. For some reason she didn't think he died. It seamed like her father was hidding something, and she had to figure out what that something was.
