And she stood, and watched the war begin...
A girl, not special, not incredible in any way. Just a girl. But she saw it. She watched it unfold. She saw them, risen from the dead. The Von Helsons. She'd been asked, by him, Edmund, for Garlic. Why...she didn't know. She watched as, before war had even been declared, Gaia divided, choosing sides. But she would not take one. Not then. She had the brooch and orchid, but she would not wear either. There was a darkness in each, a darkness she didn't understand. But she knew it was there. Maybe, they would be forced to take sides. She would fight, she was not afraid to fight. But she'd fight to defend her family and to defend Gaia, before fight for either side. So she just stood, and watched it unfold. But she feared, in the end, which ever side won, Gaia would loose.
She waited for the many extended family of the Von Helsons to unite. For there were many. She'd seen them - scattered across Gaia. She knew some. Edmund, so it seemed, had far more supporters. For now. But she knew Gaians, and she knew it depended on what each side had to offer. And so she waited.
And what if their father - the mysterious Vladimir Von Helson. Where'd he fit into this? Surely he had something to do with it! But what? He was thought dead...but then so were the sisters. So many questions....so many....was Edmund truly a werewolf? She wondered? She did not know where this idea had come from, but when you thought about it....
Now all she could do was wait. Watch and wait. And prepare. Because she was sure, they would have to fight. In the end. And she would have to be ready. If needs be, she would defend Gaia alone while Edmund fangirls and Vampire wannabes fought it out. But hopefully others on Gaia had good hearts, and some common sense.
She loved Gaia, her home. And she wasn't about to loose it. Come what may, she would defend it to the end. But now, she could only watch, and wait...
