Yep, we're down to one bathroom in the house,
because it turns out that the handle and such on the toilet in my parent's bathroom was super-glued on. Super-glued! And of course, like all glue eventually does, it came apart. XP
The people who inspected and redid this house were stupid. First there's the cheap paint on the walls, that everything leaves a colorful streak on when it touches it. Example, my computer chair. There's a huge black streak on the wall where my computer chair keeps hitting it. Ew.
Then there was the microwave that "worked perfectly". That we had to replace. Pfft.
And the stove that "worked perfectly" that we're going to have to replace when we can afford to. It's demented. The burners turn themselves up and off when we're cooking, and end up burning or not cooking our food. The oven makes frightening 'splody noises when we turn it on.
And now... the great super-glued toilet.

In other news... I was in the music forum today. For the first time in ages. While I was in there I came across another of the great "Hip-Hop/Rap: Good or Bad?" sort of threads. Of course, the great rap vs. rock argument had to come up. It always does. So I lurked around and read it, as I usually find great humor in this arguement. XD
The creator of the thread, who is a hip-hop/rap fan, had a list of the many great rap-flaming statements in his first post. Among them: You can't spell crap without rap. People were having fun with this one of course, many who don't actually have a problem with the genre. I might have said the same thing if it hadn't been said 50 times already. And I don't have a problem with the genre either. But, honest to God, you really can't spell "crap" without "r-a-p".
But I guess the thread's creator was pissed because people actually know how to spell the word "crap"... or he just couldn't take a joke. A lot of people on Gaia can't.
Every time someone replied with "you really can't spell it without rap...", they were immediatly labeled ignorant, stupid, or something else along those lines. Just... wow.
Seriously though... you really can't. =o
