So, my first ever job began last Monday (go me!). I am a swim instructor's aide at the local pool, and I am loving it. I have to be there at 8:30, so I start the two and a half mile bike ride down there at 8:00 (even though I'm usually early). I have to ride my bike to and from work becuase both of my parents work and can't wait around until 8:30 to drive little ol' me anywhere. But anyway, I digress...
At work, me and my fellow aides set up the pool (swimming the lines across, putting up the "Kiddie Pool Closed" sign, etc.). Then, for the next three hours, I pretty much stand in the water and smile a lot, and impart the kids with such wonderful gems of wisdom such as "tummy up!" and "do your Superman float!" But I love thm all, and the people I work with are really great. Plus, it's only for six weeks, so I'll have pretty much the entire month of August off (yesssss).
So that's about it. I heart summer.
