So many people are saying, "Omg. I hate Green Day. They suck. My Chemical Romance is waaaaaaay better."
You know what?
The lead singer of Green Day, Billie Joe Armstrong, is the man who GOT My Chemical Romance started.
For all of you ******** assholes saying that Green Day is copying MCR, that's bullshit.
MCR copies Green Day.
And you can't say you hate Green Day if you've never listened to their music.
They stand for something.
Green Day stands for the right to speak your mind, whether people like it or not.
The lyrics they sing and the tunes they strum from their guitars and pound from their drumsets is hypnotizing.
I was drawn into their music ever since their hit song 'Basket Case' came out in the summer of 1997.
Only two short months later, my brother was born.
Anyway.
People say that MCR was a band before Green Day.
That's bullshit.
Green Day joined up in 1988.
If you count when it was just Billie and Mike, 1986.
Yeah, I know my facts about Green Day.
I have done many reports on them, and their my heroes.
They're the people who have kept me alive all these years.
Ever since I was little when I was super depressed.
I'd hear 'Basket Case' or 'Welcome to Paradise' or 'Good Riddance [Time Of your Life]' and cheer right up.
They've been my favorite band since I was ******** five years old.
I don't give a damn what anybody thinks about this rant, because it's what I believe in.
No, not everything they believe in or I believe in may be 'right' to you, but it's right to me.
