Guardian Angel

Sometimes, the roses are covered with blood–
But sometimes, the blood is covered by roses.
Nothing is how it appears.
You must look behind the illusion...
Break through the barrier of silence–
Pray that on the other side is sound.
Leave the love that you assumed you found.
The hell that beckons you lures you in so easily.
Because of the hell that you see.
Now would be a good time
to close your eyes–
and feel me in the silence.
Wipe your tears now, you have created quite a river.
Plug your ears to the wants that make you quake and shiver.
Make your heart stone, and cage it up for this fight.
For the one you love has done you wrong, and you must fight.
Hail the dreams that haunt you, for they are of the past.
What's done is done, and you cannot bring it back.
Come, get off your knees now, child!
I am here to guide you through the starless sky!
You seem to be lost, drifting away from Cloud 9.
Come and take my hand now, child.
We are wasting time.
Let me guide you back to your safety.
I shall be your guardian angel, should you be my host.

But continuous unhappiness can come to an end.

and feel the whisper of my breath.
Let me whisper soothing words,
Let me hold you through the worst.
My wings untainted, my yearning true,
don't let this darkness get the best of you.

Together we walk this path that you chose.
