AWAITING LOVE
There was once this beautiful princess that had long gorgeous black curly hair,
soft pink lips that were always in a smile,
rosy pink cheeks and glimmering jade color eyes.
She had just turned 17 and found the love of her life.
Every night she would climb out her window and hide in the shadows to go to the beach walking along the shore and waiting by her favorite tree for her love.
One night her father spied on her leaving the castle and awaited to see who she was meeting.
After she went to bed singing her way back to the castle as she always did her father stopped the young man.
He gave him a warning to never see the princess again or she would be locked in her room forever until he vanished.
The young man wasn’t afraid of her father and just walked pass the man nodding out of respect.
The lovers continued to meet even though the threatening words were in back of the young man’s mind.
One day the young man unexpectedly met the princess at her window saying farewell
him and his father needed to travel by sea to fight at war.
Even though the princess smiled and waved she really felt sad and held back her tears.
Everyday she hoped he would return waiting for him at that very spot they always met.
Years past and the princess grew older,
she denied any man that asked her hand in marriage.
She patiently waited for her love to return
but no news came that he servived.
The war ended at her early 30's,
she waited excitedly at the tree hoping her love would hold her in his arms.
But all the soldiers had came
and the young man was no where found.
That night she realized he was gone forever.
She poisoned herself and went to the very spot they met at dieing slowly as she reminisced the happy memories of her love.
Years passed and some say they still see her ghost walk along the shore and wait at the tree.
