Yesterday, I worked at my neighbor's garage sale, and am getting paid $10. (haven't been paid yet).
The Garage sale was a 2-day thing. (Yesterday/today) So, I thought that I would get paid for both days I worked.

So, I woke up at 6:30 (agaian >.> wink , got ready, ate breakfest, and then went over to help at 7:30.
It was slow in the begining, but then people started coming, then they left. Around 9:30, me and Brandon(neighbor's son) started hitting eachother with flyswatters, and got in trouble. He asked me why I was even here, because I wasn't getting paid.
`Kay. a WTF moment for me. So, I asked his mom if I was getting paid, and she said that she only needed help on Friday. So no.

Damn, was I pissed.
The only reason I got up early, WAS TO GO OVER THERE AND MAKE SOME MONEY.
I'm sorry, but there's no way I'm going to work from 8:00-3:00 for free, outside, in the hot sun, with long periods of nothing to do.

So I left.

That may sound rude, but if you're a 14 year-old, do you really want to not get paid for helping with a garage sale, when you could be sleeping? (Yes. I sleep in until 11:00 or so, so I'd still be in bed. Sleeping. Happily.)

In the end, there's a moral to this story: Find out if you actually need to help out both days, AND if you're getting paid both days as well.
