Popularity contests: they rule a big part of our life, weather we notice it happening or not. You could be the Top of Cool and feel insulted and confuzzled when someone clues you in on it. You could be that little speck of worthless flesh at the bottom of the Popularity/Social food chain and have no idea how you got there. You could be a normal person and find yourself gawking at the Populars... asking yourself "Why not me?", and feel disgusted with yourself two seconds later when you see all the great friends around you.
But you still want to be up there...

It's hard when you relate to a Popular so well... while to everyone else you seem to be from two different species. Normal and Popular. Or they could be in your Normal group... but be secretly destined for Popularity. You don't want to let them go! "No, don't leave me for them! I need you!".
I just so happen to be in that situation. With two different people. And I'm afraid we'll lose all hope in Junior High! He'll move on with the Popular people... and she'll leave my friends and I for the Populars, too. But I don't want that! :c
