Went to a Tigers game today. They clobbered the Mets, 15-7. Tigers had 21 hits eek , but 3 errors scream . Almost got to see someone hit for the cycle -- Sheffield, he had it all but the double. Several triples hit to the centerfield wall, aka "Triples Alley." No wonder the Tigers lead the league in triples, lol. And they're up their in batting averages and a lot of other things, too.
The action in the stands was just as dramatic: A woman a few rows in front of us got hit hard by a foul ball and the paramedics came and her husband was crying (they were like 50-60s) but she did stand up and was led out of the stadium. During all the fuss, another woman passed out, and seeing how beet red she was (and this was the 2nd inning), I guess she had heat stroke. It was weird.
I came home with a HORRIBLE sunburn myself. I got it walking from the parking lot to the stadium, which took about 20 mins at 11:30 am. But that just shows how amazingly sunny and beautiful it was.
Then, we stopped at Pizza Hut on the way home for dinner.
All in all, a great day! mrgreen
