A child got weary
and stumbled on his path
caught up in darkness
forgetting how to laugh
but when he fell to the ground
and the tears started to flow
the gloom fell away
and a calm light did show
A cherib apeared
and the heralds did sing
Then the child was carried away
To peace far away on an angel's wings
And we were all left to cry
Because we were too blind to see
That we held the way to break his pain
We were the ones holding the key
we all cry for the missing child
our child who was lost to midnight's charm
we will always remember his beautiful soul
Always wishing we could have saved him from harm
But by the dawn we will go forward
Always to remember the boy who walks with our Lord king
An we will pray for him every night
Even as he flies ever higher on an angel's wings

I wrote this for a friend who gave into the darkness and took his own life. If you know anyone who has done so, have a friend that lost someone for this reason, or you are thinkin of taking your own life... remember the pain you live now will pass and to have courage in the coming days.
