So Long and Goodnight
They accepted my greeting with a barrage of bullets
they advanced on me quick and before i knew it...
I was surrounded...
yet....never astounded....
they, I knew could not be trusted
their blood on my blades, they have rusted
they could never keep me away from you
no matter what they think she could do
I tear through their ranks with killer intent
my actions may seem reckless.....but I am hell bent!
they stare on in shock and fear
i am a killing machine, hitting last gear.
they keep falling....
i keep standing...
the barrage begins stalling...
yet I am still giving...on the deaths I am handing...
They at last shoot my body
yet i haven't time to reflect on such folly
Bullets tear through me, ripping at my flesh
I start to feel weighted down....each breath harder to catch
I AM NOT DONE..........I WILL NOT LOSE!!!
SHE IS THE ONE PERSON I WILL NOT LOSE!!!
So I begin to advance through their ranks
I am a living, breathing, human tank...
the dust begins to settle, light reflecting off of the corpses
I bow to my victims....greatful for their performances....
then i see you...tears in eyes...
I fall on my back....it is near...
my time to die...
She asked....."Why did you come?! Why did you come?"
"What, my love would you have done?"
"Please...don't leave me! Please! Don't go!"
"I could never leave you.....because....I...love you...love you more...than you could......know"
She pulls me up and pulls me close
I feel like a patient, falling into comatose.....
I feel her hold me...I feel her tears....
I start to fall back and reflect on the years....
I said I loved her.....
She said it back...
It is hard to keep my eyes open....I feel the black...
"My Love" I say fighting back the darkness
"You were the cure to my every plight......
so see you later my angel....So long....and goodnight....."
I knew no more
I guess I will wait for her......once more at heaven's door...
I am sorry!!! I know it is not to good....I am sorry!! I wanted to get you another poem, though!
