This is a little wall o' text here. But hey, I haven't seriously written in my journal for a while so just read it. And COMMENT por favor. You people know who I'm talking to.
So yeah, yesterday it was my mom's b-day. We had planned to go to dinner, but she said she wasn't feeling well so we decided just to order some Pizza Hut. No prob. But first, just to get out of the house, we decided to go find some new shoes for my dad. No luck at Sports Authority. So we were going to head to the mall but it was raining so badly that we decided we would just stop at pizza hut, order, and go home.
So after about waiting 15 minutes at Pizza Hut, we come home. The pizzas are still nice and hot and the nice aroma has filled the car. Can't wait to eat cause I'll I've had the whole day was a biscuit, some orange juice and a Milky Way.
My dad tries to open the garage door--It's not working. I'm thinking: "damn the powers out AGAIN. rolleyes " That normally wouldn't be a big deal. We have candels and flashlights and everything. The problem is WE'RE FREAKIN' LOCKED OUTSIDE OF OUR HOUSE!!! scream Why you ask? Welp, garage door as I mentioned earlier, works on electricity. And the screen door to our house is locked and even though we've been living here about 2 years now, we still don't have the key to it. stare
We wait about 20 minutes hoping the power will come back on. It doesn't. Then my mom suggests we go to Wal Mart. We get there, we get a light snack at Mickey D's then go walk around. I automatically bust out for the electronics department. "Ooh!Pokemon Diamond! Sweet. I can pass a bit of time here." I play for about 5 minutes then in the middle of me fighting some trainer what happens? The game shuts off and says: "Thank you for playing the demo mode, this trail is now over." WHAT-THE-CRAP stare Okay, so we're done with that. Let's got circle the whole video game section this time.
Lucky for me I just happen to run in to guess who? Cameron! So we all talk for a bit (his mom and grandma and my mom and us). I'm so glad that was able to pass some time cause let me tell ya', there's only so much you can look at in Wal-Mart. I'm all for the Wal-Mart after party but mind you we had been there for TWO HOURS, knowing that at the time, if we hadn't been locked out, let alone the power hadn't gone out, I coulda' been playing video games or something.
We drive back home, power's still out in the neighborhood. Excuse me, our side of the neighborhood. First off, out little development is always the one that loses power. But here's what pissed us off. Right across the street from the corner of our street, heading back towards Dunkin' Donuts, 20 feet away THEY HAVE POWER?! WTF?!?!That's some bs.
Anyway, this story had a happy ending I suppose. We're sitting in the car again in front of our house and my mom's trying to find someone we can stay with until the power comes back on. My aunt and my cousin live too far away but as she scrolls down the cell phone list, my mom just happens to see one of her friends who lives just 20 minutes away! Eureka! So we end up hanging out at her house for about an hour. It's cool. But you know what? That pizza I've been waiting all day for--It was UNDERCOOKED It tased nasty!! Again WTF?!?! Just our luck, eh?
But this story, again did have a happy ending. Cause normally, when the power goes out, it can last anywhere between 30 minutes to 10 hours or so. Luckily, the power was back on my 10pm and we were able to get home.
