100 Things To Do Before I Die
~Find my way.
~Road trip. From one end of the US and then back...and then north and south, covering as many of the states as possible. And no damn maps! Maps are like watches and I hate watches!
~Polish my Latin. I have taken a few years but I want to be able to actually curse in it like I used to be able to, thanks to a fantastic Latin teacher I had in tenth grade. Too bad I have slept since then.
~Go to one of those psychics that you see that have set up their houses to do readings for people and have the works done, just to see how close they get and if they can tell me something that rings a bell. I've actually had readings for free that turned out to be remarkably on target as the years go by; now to see what the next few years hold.
~Give over a thousand dollars at one time to the animal shelter I was lucky enough to find the Countess Of Cute at. And one day, if I could, open up a no-kill shelter of my own in tribute to said Fuzzy.
~I want to see KoRn in concert. Live and loud and in full glory. I'd love to see "Alone I Break", "Coming Undone", "Counting On Me" and "Eaten Up Inside" done live among a ton of others but whatever set it is they would do, I'd be happy. For KoRn is love. And live KoRn would be love like that which seems legendary.
~Do something that will actually matter to people. Something good. I can't save the world but I can surely try and I'd like to do some good for people while I can.
~Go into some random store, walk through their book aisle and see a book with my name on it. Try to not huggle said book while others are watching.
~I have no intention to ever start a fight but if need be, I want to be able to kill a man with my bare hands. I want to take some classes that will help me to lay someone flat if they ask for it.
~See something that I will never be able to understand in a good way- maybe a real ghost if they really exist or even a UFO, whatever it is as long as the mystery remains intact for all my days.
~Have a positive mind-altering experience. I am not talking about drugs, just something huge that happens that changes one's entire view on matters. I am being greedy here because I have had more then one in my lifetime and I guess I am being ultra-stingy to ask for more...but I believe in good things.
~Help someone else have the above. At least one person before I move on. I guess I am being even greedier in wishing that, but one can dream.
~Figure out the whole conversing-communicating-talking with others thing. Going to try to do that one in the next few hundred lifetimes. xD
~Cosplay just ONCE as my favorite female anime character. Ten points to whoever can guess whom that is. ninja heart
~All these PMs? Done. Caught up. Anything that needs to be replied to, replied to and as current as is possible to be. I want to sit back in my chair and think to myself, "What to do on Gaia? What to do..."
~Go back to school. And when I am done with the first degree, go back for a few more degrees. I wish there was a degree for "warped psychology" but the closest I can get is abnormal psychology. xD
~Be an actual use and good to the people that have to put up with me on a regular basis as well as to those that just come within casual acquaintance to me.
~See my favorite comedians do actual live stand-up. I would love to see Robin Williams, Dane Cook, Ricky Gervais and the wonderful Lewis Black sometime in this life...Just to name a few. xD I think it would rock so hard to see actual stand-up being performed.
~Find out if that whole thing about not being able to drink an entire gallon of milk within an hour without puking is possible. Personally find out if it is possible. As in, do it myself.
~Time machine. Get one.
~Have my entire To-Do List completely caught up. Just once in my life. Just once. There's only twenty pages at this point...Before I croak that thing will be completely filled with different high-lighter colors. xD
~Meet and shake The Man's hand. George A. Romero is my HERO. Between him and my grandfather I can see no better influences on my whole Apocalyptic-End-Of-The-World-Zombie thing I have. The best thing I ever watched on TV when I was a kid was the first time I got to see the Romero movies. Utter. Love.
~Take a plain canvas and some paint that is safe for this and have Candle walk across the canvas after dipping her paws in the paint...I love that idea. I know she would not be too fond of it since she hates to have her paws wet but I hope that with enough treats and my cooing she would soon forgive me.
~Find the Dream Jacket. I require it.
~Spend a night in one of the haunted houses that are actually listed as having unexplained phenomenon. One of those places that even so-called "experts" can't explain. It might not be haunted but I love the idea. Personally I'd love to go to Amityville but...not gonna happen. xD
~Meet some people from here in person. And you know who you are. ninja
~Learn to cook in a way that other people can eat what I fix. It's not enough to make it edible, but rather to make it edible in a way that others can stand to eat. My idea of edible and other's idea of edible are completely different, I have learned.
~Overcome gravity.
~I want to see an actual Eleanor (another ten points to whoever can figure out what I am talking about. xD) and drive one. Or just touch it. Yeah, just touching one would kick so much butt.
~Play chess with someone who would make the game fun.
~Go to an actual masquerade ball. I have no idea where one could do such a thing but if one can, I wanta do it.
~Go to New York. Walk the streets. See it with my own eyes so that the story I hold so dear will feel even more real.
~Be hypnotized. None of that "bark like a dog" stuff but see if maybe it could break some annoying habits I have (like sleeping) or see if I could be regressed to a previous life. How neat that would be. @.@
~Go to a dream analyst and make them work for their money. I will take NOTES. I would love to have so many dreams analyzed; it seems like one of the biggest blasts one can have if they are interested in such things.
~Go to the Devil's Tramping Ground in North Carolina. That will be on the list for the road trip. xD
~See a lunar eclipse, a solar eclipse, a meteor shower and anything else that the sky can wow me with.
~The Dream House. Complete with the Perfect Room.
~Get a new pair of roller blades and 'blade about like I used to. Minus those first few weeks of busting my a** so much that I had a constant pained look when sitting.
~Learn how to give compliments.
~Buy a dozen red roses and go someplace where there's a lot of people and just hand them out to the ones that look like they never would expect it.
~Do the whole train-ride thing. Not the one at Dollywood, either.
~Have a hanging bed. Fall out of it at least once.
~Dress up every Halloween and walk around somewhere giving candy to all the cool little kids.
~Two words: Pink. Hair.
~Eh, hell, why limit myself? Green, purple, and this rainbow-thing I have an idea for. Long strands with different chunks being different colors. That would be so pretty.
~Find that Doppelganger of mine.
~Get Candle's picture in one of the kitty magazines, like Cat Fancy. I have always wanted to see her in one or have her win one of those contests for her picture to appear in a calendar. Completely adorable. heart
~Play in the rain.
~Get as close as it is possible to get to deserving all the wonderful people, events, and moments in my life.
~Lucid dream. Often.
~Have anime marathons for all the series I want to watch. Complete with the best company. And you know who you are. ninja heart I'll bring the Pizza Rolls but you gotta fix 'em.
~Inspire more good then bad.
~Complete all my comic book collections, right down to the alternate covers.
~Find another human being that has seen that goofy-a** movie Lloyd and will know what the "Lookit the BALLLLOOOOOOOOONS!" reference is.
~Strike a balance in all aspects of my life. For just ten minutes. Just ten minutes.
~Make a complete and utter fool of myself in a good way.
~Drive out to some remote place on a clear night and lay back on the roof to just watch the stars.
~I always wanted to go to Mardi Gras. I guess I will have to just pretend I went after Mother Nature said no to that one. Since I can't do that...go to Vegas. No, it's not the same by far and really not even close...but it's a place to shed any masks and just walk around in a town that never sleeps.
~Have a little garden.
~Create my own AMVs from all my favorite songs and animes.
~Create my own anime and then do all the AMVs I have spent years making in my head.
~Bookstore. Own one. All mine. I can not think of a better job until I can get published.
~Instead of thinking about how much good I want to do for others, DO the good.
~Have my own Pepi machine. It will work on happy vibes and have the good stuff always in it. Some people want gumball machines. I want a Pepi machine.
~Have time to grow bored with the internet.
~Find out what this "too much sleep" is.
~Have a little pond like I had when I was a little Flare.
~Have a screened-in porch for Candle, complete with one of those hammock-thingies that I can sleep in. Fall out of it at least once.
~Be able to let people know how much I really care so that not a day will go by when I am gone that they ever doubt how dear they were to me.
~Have every Dean Koontz book, even the ones under all his aliases. All of them. And then get lucky enough to one day meet the man and get his scribble on Whispers.
~Make one person happy every day of my life. Just for a minute.
~Get actual lessons on how to use all the sharp and pointies that are about the apartment. I know we'll never live in my imaginary world but damnit, if it ever happens I want to be ready.
~Just once be able to respond "I am not an owl!" xd
~See a baby raccoon. Love to pet one of those, too, but I think the baby tiger would be safer. xD
~Find out what it means to have all your poop in one bucket and then do whatever it takes to have my poop in said bucket.
~Read every book that has been banned for one stupid reason or the other.
~Find someone that is willing to bet that I can't tell the difference between a Coke and a Pepi and then prove to them that it's not just a myth that people can do that.
~Be asked to leave a restaurant for unruly behavior with some friends. Nothing bad or having the cops called on us or even so horrible we get banned from the place, but just be rambunctious and all-together too much fun for the place to handle.
~Do all the neat psychological evaluations that you have to do to be an FBI agent. I have heard those bad boys are cool.
~Get a good video of Candle drinking from the potty. That's seriously cute.
~Smile in at least one picture like I did when I was a child.
~Find the ability to give back to people the kindness and the good things that they give to me.
~Actually make my own candles. At least then I could have all the raspberry-goodness I desire.
~Go to a Gaia convention.
~Go to the Body Farm in Knoxville. Morbid, I know, but I never claimed to be sprinkles and lollipops. I guess this, too, goes on the list for the road trip. xD
~Have something of mine put into one of one of the collections edited by Ellen Datlow And Terri Windling...or even get honorable mention. Or even just be considered for being put into one of their collections.
~Get a box and do a modern-day version of a time-capsule. Put all kinds of stuff in it that captures the moment in time that I do it and then pop it into a bank's safe-deposit box. Will it to someone random and never say what it is, really. Leave that to them to draw their own conclusions.
~When I have the money to do it, leave a huuuuuge tip for whoever waits the table I sit at wherever I eat at on some random day. I mean HUGE. Hundreds of dollars huge. People that wait tables do not get paid enough to do what they do and get even less respect. It'd be nice to be able to show them some real appreciation. It's not going to make up for the bad days and the way people treat them, but it's the best way I can think of to show them they are appreciated for their work.
~Never make someone cry, ever again, for no reason, no matter what.
~Realize that I can't be perfect no matter how I try but try to stay cognizant of where I lack...and try to never let those faults overwhelm me and be what I show to others.
~Hold, pet, play, and bottle-feed at least a baby tiger, lion, and panther. I would love to do all those things with every breed of big cat there is but I know that's kinda slim. But to hold a baby tiger...and to be able to play with a little lion...Just thinking about it made me melt in my poor chair. I love kitties. t.t
~Own a chunk of memorabilia from ONE of Romero's movies. The dream item would be the newspaper it flashes to at the beginning of the original Dawn, where it says in huge black capitals that "THE DEAD WALK".
~Have the huge desk of my dreams, complete with all the shelves and little drawers and cubby holes that I can put all my stuffs on and so Candle has hours worth of things to bap off.
~Have a phone call that starts out with the other person asking me if I want to do a book-signing first or talk about the cover for the next book; either way, my agent is good with whatever.
~Have an unbirthday party that is Alice In Wonderland themed, complete with an outdoor tea party and really neat gifts for whoever came.
~Learn to love and be loved in return.
~Give more good then I receive. In everything.
~Ride a bike through the same roads I rode my bike through when I was a kid just once more. Try to see everything as I saw it then.
~Stink bomb a movie theater. Just once. Remain calm but act out appropriately. Try to explain the tears in my eyes as from the stink and not from laughter.
~Sleep awake.
