I'd like to extend my thanks. Thank you, Dr. Ng and your team, for going into my head and poking around my brain to take out that tumor. Thank you, Dr. Joyce Rodgriguez, for sneaking ice cream to me, even after I called you a Machiavellian tyrant. Sorry about that. I was feeling moody. And thank you to all my family, for being supportive and being there for me. But most importantly, thank you to all of my friends, whose faith I'd have been completely lost without. I want to thank you, my friends, for keeping a dry eye when no one else could. For making me laugh when things seemed hopeless. For keeping me calm when I thought I would absolutely freak out. I love you all.


Now... for the rants...


Dr. Ng, don't get me wrong. I'm eternally thankful that you pulled that thing out of my head. I really am. But I'd have greatly appreciated it if I wasn't misdiagnosed. I'd pretty much decided on my coffin color and was assigned a plot at Saint Raymonds when you told me the tumor wasn't cancerous. Yeah. Not cancer. The scare of my life could have been completely avoided. Thank God things turned out for the better. But seriously... come on. Telling me I have brain cancer when I don't is one hell of a stretch. Damn it. Still, Dr. Ng, you will be getting a thank-you card and probably a gift basket, because you did save my life. Thank you.
