there are so many romantic things that I know that I will never experience, and yet cannot help but wish for. both saving and being saved fall into this category, along with having stones thrown at your window pane to tell you that he's come to see you in the middle of the night. and there are simpler things too. surprises, flowers, small boxes of fine candy, good poetry, a good book with a note inside, nice restaurants with cloth napkins, and that perfect first kiss in the perfect place, with both of you dressed for the part.
How do people ever get together anyway? it seems as though people drift about, denying, fearing, and always hoping that the other will make the first move, if they like them at all. I suppose that I will never understand, and that us romantics are destined for dissapointment.
