I like the way I tell you you're cute
And you scratch your head like you don't know.
 Your dandruff is stardust
 and I'm wishing on you
Like Blue wishes for a clue
 Like hobos wish for shampoo
Like a hypochondriac wishes for the flu
 Like teenage boys wish to
 Make love by firelight
I hope you never wash out the glitter in your grin
I don't have to worry because that stuff is like herpes
 It just keeps coming back.
I want to be your tissue every time you sneeze
 Because you blow me away.
I want to take away your “ malaise” and fill it with days
that are golden like your heart.
And maybe it beats with a swing
But Ill wing it if you can.
A bird has to fall before it can fly.
I think you're falling for me.
And I think I'm falling for you.
You told me once that I wouldn't need to learn to.
That I could get on hands and knees and crawl,
That this drop isn't so tall,
That I don't need to stall.
Maybe its time I learned how to jump.
But I cant do it without your hand in mine.
I need that pressure to know Ill be fine.
 Your affection speaks volumes,
I can hear its effect over the doppler,
And maybe its not popular to scream in peoples ears
But at least I'm getting over these fears.
I tell you to romance me in the language of your people.
 You say:
"Su cara es como un. . . Burro."
 And I say "Grah-see-a**" back
Because its the only thing I remember from Spanish class.
And because I'm thankful for every moment I spend with you.
I know you've got better things to do.
 Like sleep.
I’m keeping you up as long as I dare,
Because I never know when it will be the last time you log in
