• I lay alone on my bed
    Staring up at the ceiling
    Thinking abut my life
    And what I've done with it

    Have I left my mark on this world?
    Have I inspired others to do great things?
    Have I done right by those I love?
    Or have I failed at all I've tried to achieve?

    All I ever wanted to do
    Was to shine in a world so dark
    But it seems that every time I try
    Someone snuffs out my light

    But now that doesn't matter
    Change is staring me in the face
    Stay the same, or assimilate
    Live or die, it's your choice

    Guess now I see how strong I am
    To fight back those that snuff me out
    And let my light shine once again
    And live up to my full potential
