Once a delusional child, now with a clear view.
Able to see the sunlight again,
Now the smokescreen is gone.
All this time, I imagined you were above me,
for you had everything I longed for...
But now, with your cherished words, I know...
I know the truth about what I am and who I am.
The spirits of fear - they flee in terror.
The reluctance ghosts - evaporated by light.
That accursed valley between us,
Cluttered with voices...
I couldn't help but wonder what they thought
of two "unique" people befriending...
Now that is behind me, though,
and you are my equal, my friend.
Though in my dreams, there remains a longing
to continue climbing the ladder I look at...
I am forever grateful that I am accepted
without a masquerade.
I thank you, and wish you well...
Clearer of the smoke...
My friend.
